Karnaphuli Gas Distribution Company Limited (KGDCL) Managing Director (MD) MA Majed has been removed. Rafiqul Islam, General Manager of Pashchimanchal Gas Company Limited, working on behalf of Transformed Natural Gas Company Limited (PGCL) has been assigned to this post. Petrobangla announced this decision in an office order on Saturday.
According to KGDCL sources, there were various complaints against MA Majed and some other officials including illegal gas connection, promotion without following the rules.
MA Majed took over as MD of KGDCL in May last year. There were many allegations of irregularities against him. In view of these allegations, Petrobangla found the truth by investigating.
Later he was sent to Petrobangla as OSD.
