People across the country are worried about the second wave of corona. The number of corona infection is increasing every day. Corona patients are increasing at an alarming rate, especially in the bordering districts.

The number of corona cases is increasing by leaps and bounds in the border district of Chuadanga. Corona has taken a terrible shape in Damurhuda and Jibannagar upazilas within the district. Due to this, lockdown has been imposed for 14 days in Damurhuda upazila from Tuesday morning. The administration is also thinking of giving lockdown in Jibannagar upazila.

Due to the rising corona rate, the Ministry of Education has extended the closure of all educational institutions in the country till June 30. The Ministry of Education has extended the leave period of educational institutions in stages considering the health risks of the students. Meanwhile, the students of Ideal Pre-Cadet Kindergarten at Uthali Bus Stand in Jibannagar Upazila of Chuadanga continue to attend classes, defying the instructions of the Ministry of Education. For the last 15 days, the teachers of the school have continued teaching students in that educational institution and put the students at risk of corona infection.

On condition of anonymity, concerned parents said that corona patients have already been identified in the Kindergarten area. “At the request of the teachers, we are sending our children to the school. That is why we are in extreme anxiety”, they added.

On condition of anonymity, three of the owners of the educational institution complained, “We did not understand how the school was kept open during the Corona epidemic. Even if a single student gets infected with Corona, they will have to take responsibility for it”.

“Teachers of the institute are the one that took the decision to keep the institute open. The teachers did not contact any of the owners in this regard. After receiving complaints from parents, we asked the principal of the educational institution Imran Hossain to close the school again”, the owners added.

When asked, the principal of Ideal Pre-Cadet Kindergarten Imran Hossain denied the allegations of teaching students at the school. He said that only the office room is open and no lessons are being given there. Jibannagar Upazila Education Officer Md Mostafizur Rahman said, “I have heard about teaching students at Uthali Ideal Pre-Cadet Kindergarten. As soon as I got the news, I called the president of Jibannagar Upazila Kindergarten Association and asked him not to keep the institute open.

“Kindergartens are not monitored by us. Due to which there is no scope for us to take action against them”, he added.
