While addressing a civic reception accorded to her by expatriate Bangladeshis in Washington DC of USA, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina urged the countrymen to stay alert so that the anti-liberation elements, killers and arson terrorists never return to power. The premier also told the audience that it was the BNP-Jamaat clique which had burnt many people to death and destroyed thousands of roadside trees during 2013-15 in the name of so-called movement to dislodge the government.
We appreciate Sheikh Hasina’s time befitting speech against evil forces just seven months ahead of our national polls. Her message will bring together all people imbued with the spirit of the great Liberation War in order to build a united resistance against the anti-liberation forces.
It is clear to all that BNP in association with the anti-liberation and evil forces is once again planning to carry out arson terrorism ahead of the upcoming parliamentary elections. They are also out to destabilise the country’s stability and started ill-efforts centering the polls again.
BNP failed to get public support in its nationwide movement, road marches and human chains as the country’s people did not respond to its calls.

The party is also carrying out anti-state propaganda at home and abroad cashing in on Digital Bangladesh. But the country’s peace-loving people did not pay heed to that propaganda as they know the character of the party.
People know the independence of Bangladesh had been achieved in exchange for blood of millions. We now can move at the globe keeping heads high and maintaining due dignity.
We will have to make sure that the killers, anti-liberation elements and war criminals never return to power again. Besides, country’s people will have to give Awami League another chance in the next general election to help establish Bangladesh as a developing country. If the anti-liberation and corrupt elements come to power again they will destroy all the advancements.
The Awami League is a pro-people party and it was formed for establishing the rights of the masses. The party always works for the welfare of the people and the people’s fate is changed whenever the party assumes office. But the BNP has no respect for democratic system of Bangladesh. The BNP-Jammat alliance boycotted the general polls of 2014 in fear of defeat.
Therefore, the people of the country will have to stay alert against any occurrence and not to forget the arson terrorism of BNP-Jamaat clique as they could repeat that in any other form. Common people of the country do not want to see the party of killers, war criminals, anti-liberation forces and arson terrorists in power again.
