KDS Group, one of the industrial and commercial organizations of the country, distributed sarees, lungi and cash among 25 thousand poor and helpless people in Patiya upazila of Chattagram.
KDS Group Chairman Alhaj Khalilur Rahman has been playing an important role in socio-economic development as well as business. Alhaj Khalilur Rahman, chairman of the country's famous industrial group KDS Group and president of Chittagong Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce Industry (CMCCI), distributed zakat sarees, lungi and cash among 25 thousand needy and helpless people on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr in Jiri Union of Patiya Upazila of Chattogram on Friday.
He helped the poor people of about 25 villages including Saidar, Budhpura, Jiri, Harinkhine, Kashiaish, Aashia, Gorankhine, Mohira, Bhandargaon, Belkhain, Borlia, Kusumpura, Bininihara, Kayagram, Maliara, Kortala, Pingla, Purikta, Uttar Deyang, Chapari upazila with Eid gifts and cash.
Al-Arafah Islami Bank Director Ahmedul Haque, KDS Group Managing Director Salim Rahman, Jiri Union Member Md. Hashem Chowdhury, Kusumpura Union Member Shawkat Akbar and other dignitaries were present.
Khalilur Rahman said, Islam is a religion of equality and brotherhood. This religion plays a leading role in love and friendship. This religion helps people to be philanthropic, sympathize with the pain of others, sympathetic and empathetic towards the poor people. In order to reduce the gap between the rich and the poor and for the sanctity of the property of the rich, Islam has introduced the provision of Zakat.
He said, the holy Eid-ul-Fitr is a day of joy for Muslims. On this day, the rich and the poor all share the joy of Eid together. If we can stand by the helpless people to share this joy of Eid, the main purpose of Eid will be. So that no poor person is deprived of the joy of Eid. In that direction, the rich should be aware and extend their hand of cooperation.
Its known that Khalilur Rahman started his career with a job about 51 years ago. With dedication, hard work and sincerity, many industrial establishments have been built. The number of officers and employees working in these institutions is more than 30 thousand.
