Shailkuipa upapzila administration, Bogura union command of the freedom fighters and Kamanna 27 Sriti Sangha had jointly celebrated the 49th death anniversary of 27 martyrs who sacrificed their lives Kamanna village of Sailkupa upazila in Jhenaidah on November 26 in 1971 to liberate upon the sovereignty of Bangladesh. Two innocent villagers including a house wife were also gunned down by the brutal during the time.
Owner of the land and house Kazi Shahin Uz Zaman Rasel had handed over the deeds to the lawmaker of Jhenaidah-1 Abdul Hyee during the discussion for constructing libration war museum.
Milad, dowa mahfil and discussion meeting was held with additional deputy commissioner (ADC) Sel[im Reza in the chair. Jhenidah-1 constituency lawmaker, also president of Bangladesh Awami League Jhenaidah district unit Abdul Hyee attended the programme as chief guest.
Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangshad Magura district unit ex deputy commander Abdur Rahman, acting chairman of Shailkupa upazila parishad Nilufa Yesmin, acting upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) Partha Prateem Seal, Bogura union parishad chairman Nazrul Islam, Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangshad Shailkupa upazila unit ex deputy commander Rahmat Ali Mantu, vice chairman of Shailkupa upazila parishad Jahidunnabi Kalu, Bangladesh Awami League Jhenidah district unit organizing secretary Abdul Hakim and donor of then land and house Kazi Shahin Uz Zaman Rasel among others attended as special guest.Lawmaker Abdul Hyee in his speech urged upon the people, especially, the freedom fighters to come forwards once again to combat the corruption at all level when the government of Sheikh Hasina was marching to establish a just society as per the desire of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
I)t may be mentioned that about 30 freedom fighters and tow innocent perso-ns including a house wife were gunned down at Kamanna in the early hours of November 26.
The present land and house owner Kazi Shahin Uz Zaman Rasel, son of KB Zaman alias Panu Kazi had handed over the deeds of the land and ho9use to lawmaker Abdul Hyee during the time.
