Kalnagini released at Lawachara national park

Various types of animals including a Kal nagini, which entered at people’s locality were free at Lawachara national park. Justice Burhan Uddin of high court division free those animals at Sreemangal of Moulvibazar and Jankisra of Lawachara of Komolgonj on Friday evening. At this time, two green Boral snakes, a Shonkhoni snake, a Kal nagini snake and a Lajjati monkey were free in the forest. Betel tree seeds were planted in the forest at this time. Sreemangal Assistant Forest Official (wildlife conservation and management) Anisur Rahman, Sitesh Ronjon Dev, Chairman of Bangladesh Animal welfare foundation, Range officer of Lawachara, Monayem Hossain were present in this occasion.

However, Sitesh Dev said, forest animals often come to the locality to fond of foods as people are destroying bushes, besides lack of water and foods let them to come at the locality. Then they are wounded by attacking of the local habitant’s people. If they heard such kind of incident they immediately rescued them and support them fully and lastly free them.
