Kalkini locals voluntarily make wooden bridge

Awooden bridge has been constructed over the canal of Urarchar village on the initiative of Mustafizur Rahman Sumon, Chairman of Banshgari Union Parishad of Kalkini Upazila of Madaripur and with the cooperation of local people. 

This has facilitated the movement of school and college students and the general public in several villages of the five unions and the passing unions of Laxmipur. The beneficiaries have confirmed this information on Friday morning.

According to sources, the Urarchar canal flows over the village of Urarchar in Banshgari union of the upazila. There are public roads on both sides of this canal. School and college students and pedestrians have suffered immensely as there has been no bridge or bridge over the canal for a long time.

Thinking about the suffering of the common people, UP Chairman Md. Mustafizur Rahman Sumon has built a wooden bridge with his own funds. 

Murad Hossain, a pedestrian student in the area, said, "We are very happy that this bridge has been constructed. 

Because there is no bridge here, we had to cross the canal with great difficulty.”
