A human chain was formed was formed in front of the Santhia Press Club on Sunday (February 11) organised by media workers working in Santhia and Bera upazilas of Pabna to demand justice for the murder of journalist couple Sagar-Runi.
Jalal Uddin, Senior Vice-President of Santhia Press Club and Santhia Correspondent of Daily Samokal Jalal Uddin presided over the programme while Khalekuzzaman Pannu, district representative of daily Protidiner Sangbad conducted the protest rally.
Mansoor Alam Khokon, Santhia representative of Daily Khola Kagaz, General Secretary Abdul Hai, newly elected Vice President Farooq Hossain, Bera Press Club General Secretary Ujjal Hossain, Aminpur Thana Press Club General Secretary Alamgir Hossain Orth and RTV Northern Correspondent Taijul Islam spoke there Santhia Press Club Treasurer Abu Ishaq, Anand TV Santhia Correspondent Manowar Parvez Manik, Channel S Television Pabna District Correspondent M.J Sulav, Daily Bangladesh Santhia-Bera Correspondent Rafiqul Islam San, Pratidai Sangbad Santhia-Bera Correspondent Arif Khan, Janakantha Santhia reporter Lutfar Rahman Ulka , daily Bangla fence correspondent Rauz Ali, daily Alakit Sakal correspondent Hriday Hasain and other journalists of Print and electronics media.
Journalists expressed their anger and frustration in human chain because Sagar-Runi murder has not been prosecuted even after 12 long years.
