JUPA department draws programmes on ‘Mujib Year’

In line with the university’s central programmes to celebrate the ‘Mujib Year’ on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Jahangirnagar University Public Administration (JUPA) department has chalked out various events to mark the year.

The programmes of the department will begin by placing floral wreath at the portrait of Bangabandhu in front of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall on the campus on March 17, said a press release.

The JUPA department will organise a seminar titled “Bangabandhu’s Thoughts about State and Administration” on March 31 while JU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Farzana Islam is expected to address it as the chief guest.

The department will confer special honor on founder of the JUPA department and Pro-Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) Professor Dr M Abul Kashem Mazumder and Professor of JU Government and Politics department and former Information Commissioner Dr Khurshida Begum for their special contributions on conducting research on Bangabandhu.

Besides, teachers, students, officials and employees of the department will visit Tungipara in Gopalganj and pay rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on April 4.
