Juba League men distribute, plant saplings marking Mujib Barsho

Bangladesh Awami Juba League, the youth organization of ruling Awami League had inaugurated tree sapling distribution on Saturday. The ptrogramme was initiated following Mujibbarsho, the birth centennial of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Aim of the programme was transplanting saplings to save the nature and environment.

Juba League (JL) leader Ibrahim Khalil Raja said they had inaugurated the programme marking the historical Mujibbarsho and distributed saplings at Putia high school, Kalamankhali KPH high school and the inmates of Bismillah Guchchagram, a shelter home for the homeless people. Fruit bearing, timber and herbal plants were among the distributed saplings. 

JL leader said the sapling distribution programme was taken as per the guidelines of Jhenidah-2 (Jhenidah Sadar and Harinakundu) constituency lawmaker Tahjib Alam Siddiquee Somi to participate in the national programme aiming at making a greener Bangladesh as desired by the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

JL Jhenidah district unit convener Ashfaque Mahmud John, KPH high school managing committee president Foyezullah, headmaster Arabindu Kumar Biswas, teachers Feroj Shahi, JL leader Iktiar Uddin among others present.

All the educational institution in 17 unions of Jhenidah Sadar upazila will be brought under the sapling distribution programme, Ibrahim Khalil Raja informed.
