Jahangirnagar University (JU) Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Farzana Islam today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Ekushey Padak-winning Rabindra Sangeet singer Mita Haque.
In a condolence message, the VC recalled the glorious career of Mita Haque and said that her death has created a vacuum in the arena of music industry.
Prof. Farzana prayed for the eternal peace of her departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Mita Haque, a renowned Rabindra Sangeet singer, has died from coronavirus-related complications at Bangladesh Specialised Hospital in the capital on yesterday morning. She was 59.
