Students of Jahangirnagar University (JU) on Thursday brought out a protest procession on the campus protesting price hike of admission form fees for the first year honours programmes in 2019-2020 academic session. The procession was brought out under the banner of ‘Bangladesh Sadharan Chhatra Adhikar Sangrakkhan Parishad( BSCASP).' Leaders and activists of ‘Jahangirnagar Sangskritik Jote’ and ‘Somajtantrik Chhatra Front’ of JU unit expressed solidarity with the protest procession.
The procession ended with a brief rally in front of the Old Register Building of the campus. The university authorities have increased the prices of admission forms in the forthcoming admission test which is supposed to begin on September 22 and continue till October 3.
