JP leaders visit Narail houses, temples hit by miscreant attack

Jatiya Party district convener and party leaders visited the scene including houses and temples of the Hindu community which affected by miscreants' attack in Digholia Sahapara of Lohagara Upazila of Narail on Friday.

 Jatiya Party Convener Advocate Khandokar Fayekuzzaman Firoz condemned such despicable attacks and said, “The real culprits involved in the incident should be brought out through an impartial investigation and exemplary punishment should be given to them.”

He appealed to the people of all religions to prevent such unwanted incidents in the coming days. He also demanded the members of the law and order forces so that innocent people are not harassed due to the incident. 

According to the police and local sources, on July 15, When Akash Saha, son of Ashok Saha of Digholia Sahapara of Lohagara Upazila insulted the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SM) on Facebook, the angry people damaged three to four houses, temples in Digholia Sahapara and two shops. 

Since then, police and law enforcement personnel have been deployed at the scene. The police have arrested 10 people so far in this incident. Later, Akash Saha gave a confessional statement in court about insulting the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SM) on Facebook.

Narail District Member Secretary Shikder Hadiuzzaman Hadi, Joint Convener Liakat Hossain Hekmat, Narail Poura Jatiya Party General Secretary Talukdar Jahangir Hossain, Narail Sadar Upazila Jatiya Party President Saeeduzza­man Saeed Member, General Secretary Badruzzaman Badar, General Secretary of Lohagra Upazila Jatiya Party Abul Hasan Chanchal, Organizing Secretary Dr. Md. Sadekur Rahman, among others were present during the visit.
