Jatiya Party (JP) Chairman GM Quader MP has said that his party can be a foothold of people’s trust as a vacuum has been prevailing in the arena of current politics of the country.
He said this while addressing a ceremony on occasion of some BNP leaders’ joining the Jatiya Party on Tuesday. Around one hundred BNP leaders and activists of Gulshan, Banani and Mahakhali area joined Jatiya Party at the party chairman’s Banani office in the capital. GM Quader, also the Deputy Leader of the Opposition in Parliament, said that Jatiya Party will meet the expectations of people, and with the support of people, his party is pledge-bound to build a better and prosperous Bangladesh.
He further said founding chairman of Jatiya Party HM Ershad was a true friend of poor and destitute people. “HM Ershad devoted his life for the welfare of destitute people. We are working to implement his ideology,” he said. Jatiya Party presidium members Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu, ATU Taj Rahman and Barrister Shamim Haider Patwary and Vice-Chairman Ahsan Adelur Rahman, among others, were present at the programme.
