KM Mustafizur Rahman Jitu, Patharghata Correspondent of Dhaka Pratidin, was killed when his motorcycle was hit by a pickup van in Patharghata Upazila of the district on Sunday noon.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Patharghata police station Syed Ahmed said the accident occurred this noon in Bienchotki area.
“Journalist Zitu died on the spot and we are trying to arrest the driver of the pickup van,” the OC added.
