Former joint editor of local daily "Meherpur Pratidin" journalist Alamin Hossain has been arrested under the Digital Security Act.He was arrested from his home in the Bashbaria area of Gangni town on Saturday morning.He was working as a district correspondent in the National newspaper “Business Bangladesh”.
Officer-in-charge of Gangni Police Station Bazlur Rahman said that former MP of Gangni Mokbul Hossain's nephew Sabuj Hossain filed the case under the Digital Security Act against the publisher of Meherpur Pratidin M.A.S Emon, Editor Eadul Momin and Joint Editor Alamin Hossain for a news published on May 11 of 2020 in the local newspaper Meherpur Pratidin against Mokbul Hossain.
