Jagannath University Teachers Association (JnUTA) on Saturday demanded publishing an admission circular for the session of 2022-23 within April 17. In a letter to the Vice Chancellor, the association demanded the admission circular have to be published through a meeting of the central committee.
In the written application of the JnUTA to the Vice-Chancellor, they said that the meeting of the Central Admission Committee has not been convened even after 09 days have passed since the formation of the Central Admission Committee on April 06 in Jagannath University and even after requesting you. The unit admission committees have already met and started the admission process.
However, several decisions require the approval of the Central Admission Committee. Since no meeting of the Central Admission Committee has been held so far, it is not possible to publish the admission test circular and proceed with the admission test process. As a result, unnecessary delay in the completion of the admission examination process and the risk of massive session congestion are created which are unexpected and hamper the reputation and progress of Jagannath University.
It is also mentioned in the written application that the Islami University has already published the admission notice on the university's website to start the admission test process through its own process. In this situation, I humbly request you to hold a meeting of the central admission committee on April 16 and complete all the activities related to the admission examination notification and take necessary initiatives to publish the admission notification by April 17.
Meanwhile, Nildal, a pro-Awami organization of JnU teachers, has voted in favor of separate admission tests. Apart from this, the organization thanked the Vice-Chancellor for forming the Central Admission Committee and the Unit Based Committee. In a circular on April 14, the organization announced that it has come to work in favor of separate admission tests.
According to the notification of JnU Nildal, they are still unwavering in their position regarding organizing the admission test in their own way out of the group. They are working towards this goal. At this time, they called on everyone to work together to publish the 1st year Bachelor (Honors) admission circular for the academic year 2022-23 academic year and start the admission process immediately.
