Jagannath University (JnU) students give a 24-hour ultimatum to terminate JnU’s Anthropology department teacher Kamrunnahar Lipi, who posted a controversial post on Facebook, addressing students as sweepers.

In a meeting on Tuesday morning with the university Treasurer, Deans of various faculties, department Chairmen in the meeting room of the university Vice-chancellor, the students give the ultimatum.

At that time, the students said, they were ashamed to address Kamrunnahar Lipi as a teacher. She addressed the students across the country as sweeper.  Besides, since the beginning of the quota reform movement, the so-called teacher made offensive statements on Facebook against the students and took a stand for the oppressors.Meanwhile, the students warned of strict agitation if Kamrunnahar Lipi is not terminated.

Kamrunnahar Lipi wrote in one of his Facebook posts on July 17, 'If anyone thought of me as civil and neutral, they thought wrong.

Those who marched in front of the people demanding they are self-proclaimed razakar, I am their ultimate opponent.”
