Jagannath University (JnU) has paid rich tributes to martyred intellectuals on the occasion of the Martyred Intellectuals Day-2023.
The JnU teachers, employees and students led by JnU Vice-chancellor Professor Dr. Sadeka Halim placed floral wreaths at Mirpur Martyred Intellectuals Graveyard and the Rayerbazar Martyred Intellectuals Memorial in Dhaka on Thursday.
JnU VC urged for a solid resistance against the anti-independence forces and emphasized the commitment to uphold the spirit of the Liberation War after paying respects.
During the homage ceremony, notable attendees including the university's Treasurer, Prof. Dr. Md. Humayun Kabir Chowdhury, Deans of various faculties, Directors of institutes, Registrar Engineer Md. Wahiduzzaman, Chairmen of the departments, the Proctor Prof. Dr. Mostafa Kamal and other teachers, students and staff were present.
