On the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, a program of planting one thousand saplings has been inaugurated at the initiative of Pakshi Union Jubo League unit in Ishwardi of Pabna on Friday.
These saplings of fruit, forest, medicinal and aesthetic flowers will be planted in all the vacant places around the under construction Rooppur Nuclear Power Project area.
Central Workers League leader Freedom Fighter Mohammad Rashidullah inaugurated the function. Pakshi UP Chairman Enamul Haque Biswas, Union AL unit President Habibul Islam, Senior Vice President Tariqul Islam Bhadu and others were present at the time.
Union Jubo League unit President Anwar Hossain said, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that not even an inch of land should be left vacant anywhere in the country, so on ‘Mujib Barsho' Pakshi Union Jubo League unit has taken the tree planting initiative.
