Jhenaidah schoolboy builds robot

A schoolboy of remote Jhenaidah village had invented a smaller size human robot experimentally which is able to carry three kilograms of weight and answer any question instantly. 

Subodh Paul, 17, son of porters Kanal Lal Paul and Shampa Paul of village Shakharidah in Harinakundu upazila of Jhenaidah attained the success. He is an examinee of secondary school certificate (SSC) studying at Shaharidah high school. 

The robot that he named “Robot Subro” might play role of a human in markets, factories and even play role in the Army. It will also help save physical labour and strengthen socio-economic state of the country, he said.  When the Bangladesh Post Correspondent contacted Subodh Paul, said since his boyhood he watched television and drew pictures of any science related maters. He was encouraged when the Robot Woman Sophia was brought in Bangladesh. He deserved that he would invent this sort of human robot to ease the sufferings of the people, especially, students, the Army and common people.

Subodh Paul said he installed micro computer board for programmes, blue-tooth speaker with circuit for output and running the robot with a smart phone at his home. He spent Taka 1,200 to prepare the 22 inches height mini robot and named it “Robot Subro”. 

He used paper board and some other materials. Now his four smaller-wheeler Robot Subro can carry three kilograms of goods itself. It can say its name, address, names of all the states and their capital cities, answer science related questions with specific programmes.  Deputy Commissioner (DC) in Jhenaidah Mozibor Rahman when contacted for his comments said he will take look in to the matter and take initiatives to stand by the schoolboy when he has invented the robot.
