Election office of Jhenaidah bus, minibus, microbus employees union located at Chuadanga Bus stoppage was vandalized on Friday night. The panel led by Majharul Islam Babul and Saidul Islam Sayeed had blamed their rival Waliar Rahman Khan and Ashrafuzzaman Khokan each other for the incidents. The groups are competation in the tri-anneal election of the transport workers union on march 25.
Aspirants for president position Majharul Islam Babul and secretary candidate Saidul Islam Sayeed said the supporters of their rival Waliar Rahman Khan and Ashrafuzzaman Khokan with 25 to 30 activists had vandalized their election office in the midnight of Friday. They had vandalized chair, tables, banner festoons and other equipments and materials without any instigation.
In the other hand Waliar Rahman Khan and Ashrafuzzaman Khokan when contacted said the supporters of Majharul Islam Babul and Saidul Islam Sayeed had vandalized their office earlier. Tension was prevailing following the attack on the election office. Jhenaidah Sadar police station officer in charge Sheikh Sohel Rana when contacted said the law enforcers rushed the spot immediate after the vandalized activities and brought the situation under control. The police will go for further action when any written complaint was lodged with the police station.
