A human chaind in Jhenaidah had demanded uncocnditional release of Prothom Alo senior journalist Rozina Islam and bring the culprits in book to protect the jounalist community from the wrath of the corru[t people.
The human chain was oorganized by the media activists and human rights activists at Pairachatter in Jhenaidah town on Wednesday morning. The journalists in Harainakundu upazila had formed similar human chain protesting the ayttack on Rozina Islam same time.
The speakers in the human chain said torture on senior journalist Rozina Isman was a nacked and mis-deeds of a section of dishonest and corrupt people in the administration when the global rules like “Wheeels Blowers Law” was ignored. The journalists are attacked by some of the unrully government officials when the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was carrying the green and red colour flag throughout the globe. These sort of heinous activities will undoubetedly damage the credibility of the democratic government.
The activists had also demnded punishment to the abusers at no delay.
The working journalists in Harinakundu upazila of the district also formed human chain in the morning protesting the attack on Rozina Islam.
Conducted by Harinakundu press club general secretary H Mahbub Milu, press club president Saifuzzaman Taju among others spoke.
