Newly elected district council chairperson in Jhenaidah Harun Or Rashid said he wants to be the service providers to the people of entire district as they had elected me to serve them with sincerity. By no means I desire to be an administrator.
I want to serve the people when the government of Prime Minster Sheikh Hasina has been running the nation towards a dignified and developed one as per to fulfill the dream of the Father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Harun was speaking as the chief guest in a reception organized by Jhenaidah Nagorik Committee, a committee of the local citizens in Jhenaidah.
Thanking the people of all walks of life, the district council chairman said he will spend his time for the betterment of the district council to fulfill his commitment to the people of the district.
“I will not entertain any irregularities and corruption in his office so that the people might receive service as they had desired: he said.
Presided over by ex principal of Jhenaidah Degree College, better known as City College Tobarak Hossain, ruling Awami League religious affairs secretary also Jhenaidah municipality ex chairman Anisur Rahman Khoka, another ex chairman Amir Hossain Malita, Srizony Foundation finance and accounts officer Arjun Kumar Majumder, Kusna union parishad ex chairman in Kotchandpur upazila Abdul Mannan, district council member Alauddin, Juba League leader Jahangir among others present as special guests.
