Jhenaidah DC urges all to abide by lockdown

Jhenaidah deputy commissioner (DC) had urged upon the all communities to maintain the guidelines united to protect ourselves when the government had imposed strict lockdown throughout the country. 

DC Mozibor Rahman was sharing with the police super, municipality mayors, upazila parishad chairmen, Sadar hospital superintendent, district information officer, upazia nirbahi officers (UNO)s and union parishad (UP) chairmen through a zoon cloud meetings apps from his office on Tuesday.

DC said the Bengali national knows no defeat in their national and international crisis, which owned the liberty through the huge bloodshed in 1971 against the occupying Pakistani shoulders and their collaborators.

Now the global pandemic Covid-19 had swooped on us with its havoc where over a thousand of people had died and thousands of sufferings badly. The havoc turned serious in recent days and the government had imposes strict lockdown to prevent the bight of the Covid-19 throughout the country.

Stating the present situation of the district administrator said some people still ignoring the situation and moving here and there which might increase the havoc. Now it is wise to stay home safe with the family members, as all the educational institutions remain shut. He had warned to take stern action against the rules violators at any cost. He urged all to conduct mass awareness at all local markets, roads and other places to maintain the rules strictly. Village police could play a significant role as they stay in the locality and known to all.

He had also urged the imams of mosques to aware the people on the issue so the villagers could stay home safe with their children. Admiring the role of police administration, municipality mayors, upazila parishad chairmen, Sadar hospital superintendent, district information officer, UNOs and UP chairmen, and political leaders, Mozibor Rahman expressed hope that  each and everybody will come forward to face the situation to combat the global havoc and participate in nation building activities as desired by the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. 

He assured that there is no crisis of food and assistance for the poor and affected people caught in the crisis hours from the government. 

Police superintendent Muntasirul Islam, municipality mayor Saidul Karim Mintu, Sadar hospital superintendent Dr. Harun Or Rashid and district information officer Abu Bakar Siddique among others spoke.
