Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) in Jhenaidah Sadar has distributed agriculture inputs among the fruits and
vegetables producing farmers free of cost. The programme as arranged by safe horticulture crop production and post harvest technology transfer project at local upazila parishad auditorium on Thursday morning.
DAE deputy director in Jhenaidah Asgar Ali attended the programme as chief guest, while upazila agriculture officer Jahidul Karim, agriculture extension officer Junayed Habib among others attended as special guests.
A total of 60 farmers of a number of villages in Jhenaidah Sadar upazila received weighting machine, plastic crest and iron sheet made signboard.
DAE deputy director in Jhenaidah Asgar Ali in his speech said the government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been standing by the people to make the farming profitable so that they can produce safe food and ensure better health for the nation.
The activities will help strengthen the socio-economic state of the farmers, he said.
