Dr Siddiqul Islam, Jhenaidah district unit president of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) and owner of Shamima Clinic, died of pneumonia at Popular Hospital in Dhaka on Thursday evening. He was 75. He was the husband of gyienocologist Dr Shamima Sultana.
Siddiqul Islam, a retired assistant director of DGHS, was buried at Jhenaidah central graveyard after Namaj-e-Janaja at Muktijoddha Smrity Jame Mosque in district town.
Divisional Director of the DGHS in Khulna Dr. Rasheda Sultana, civil surgeon Dr. Salina Begum, BMA general secretary Dr. Rashed Al Mamun, Jhenaidah Press Club president M Raihan and others expressed deep shock at the death of Dr Siddiqul Islam.
