Jhenaidah BGB nabs drug peddlers

The drug peddlers have been using modified private cars during their trade in Jhenaidah frontiers. The Border Guard Bangladesh personnel in the frontier have detained five of the vendors while they were carrying contra banned Indian phensedyl in a private car recently.

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) 58 battalion assistant director Nazrul Islam Khan quoting the BGB director Qamrul Ahsan said the drug smugglers had changed their transport system and using rented sophisticated private cars in carrying the contra banned items to avoid harass or arrest by the border guards on the way.

Acting on a tip off, they had conducted drive led by Havilder Amirul Islam of Jadavpur border outpost (BOP) and stopped a sophisticated private car near Jadavpur government primary school at about 12.30 AM on Saturday.
