The four-year term election of Jhenidah district football association (DFA) was held in peaceful manner on Monday noon. Ahsanuzzaman Jahntu was elected as the president uncontested. Aminul Islam, head of the election committee confirmed the matter.
Further, Ashraful Alam and Advocate Bikash Kumar Ghosh as vice presidents and Nazmul Alam Baqi general secretary, Hasanuzzaman Khoko, Shaikh Safi Quddus, AKM Rezaul Hakim, Nuruddin Piku, Tauhidul Islam Sangram, Anisur Rahan, Rashidar Rahman Sasel, Mir Sultanuzzaman and Wahiduzzaman Iku were elected ,members of the committee.
Election commission sources said they conducted all process from January 25 and arranged the election in a peaceful manner. The committee members will take effective measures to reorganize the committee in all rural level areas to strengthen the status of football as early as possible to regain the decaying name and fame of the game. People from all walks of life have welcomed the new committee expecting a better football world in Jhenidah, they said.
