The Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bangladesh has presented the “Woman of Inspiration Award 2021” on Saturday.
The award marks the celebration of the International Women’s Day. “Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world”-UN Women was the theme of 2021 International Women’s Day.
Based on the theme, JCI Bangladesh conceptualised the programme and recognised women’s’ achievement through providing women of inspiration award 2021 to 13 Women leaders of Bangladesh.
This year, the award recognised Masuma Rahman Nabila , Nahita Nishmin , Nasima Akter Nisha Preema Nazia Andalib , Farhana Rafiq Uzzaman, Advocate Nahid Sultana (Juthi), Barrister Rashna Imam , Rukhmila Zaman , Dr. Senjuti Saha, Sanjida Haq Arefin Luna , Shamima Nasrin, Tina F. Jabeen Colonel, and Dr. Zebun Nahar for their success in their respective fields.
Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, Speaker of Bangladesh Parliament, virtually graced the event as chief guest. Sagufta Yasmin Emily, MP, Member of Parliament, Munshiganj-2, and Barrister Shah Ali Farhad, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister and JoAnne Wagner, Deputy Chief of Mission, US Embassy, were also present.
Niaz Morshed Elite, National President of JCI Bangladesh, hosted the programme. Chief Coordinator of the Women of Inspiration Award 2021 was Tasmina Ahmed Sraboni, Convener of the program was Ismat Jahan Lissa and Co-Convener was Ziaul Haque.
JCI is a nonprofit global organisation of young active citizens from age 18 to 40 who are engaged and committed to creating impact in their communities.
The “Women of Inspiration Award 2021” is presented to honor the extraordinary women who lead by example, live on purpose and inspires others to be more and do more, who have been valiant warriors of smashing stereotypes, generating positive impact, challenging the status quo, establishing equality, demonstrating commitment to their highest ethical standards in their journey of excellence and empowering not only themselves but also those around them.
