Jashore Civil Surgeon Dr. Sheikh Abu Shaheen has been tested Covdi-19 positive. He himself confirmed the matter to reporters on Sunday (July 12).
Dr Sheikh Abu Shaheen said that he had collected his samples on Saturday (July 11) due to fever in the last few days and sent it to Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) corona test Lab. The result came positive on Sunday (July 12).
He is currently in isolation in his home following hygiene rules. He and 14 others tested positive in Corona of Jashore district on Sunday.
JUST corona test team member Dr. Shirin Nigar said that the lab tested 218 samples and found 80 Corona positive and 138 Corona negative.
Of them, 15 Corona positive out of 32 people in Jashore, one out of 12 people in Magura, 20 out of 80 people in Bagerhat and 44 out of 94 people in Satkhira have tested positive for Covid-19.
Jashore Civil Surgeon Office sources said thata total of 968 people have been identified Corona positive in Jashore till July 11. Of them, 487 have recovered from Corona virus and 14 have been died.
Earlier, Jashore 250-bed general hospital Superintendent and former Civil Surgeon of Jashore Dr. Dilip Kumar Roy along with his wife and daughter were Corona positive. Now they already recovered, sources said.
