Ten students from Chittagong University Institute of Forestry and Environmental Science, Department of Sociology and Pali will travel to Japan next Monday under the leadership of CU Institute of Forestry and Environmental Science Prof. Dr. Mohammad Al Amin to participate in the Sakura Exchange Program on the invitation of the Ministry of Science and Technology of Japan.
On this occasion, the members of the delegation had a courtesy meeting with Chittagong University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Shireen Akhtar in the office of the Vice-Chancellor room on Sunday.
CU Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Benu Kumar Dey, CU Registrar (Acting) Prof. SM Monirul Hasan, President of Department of Sociology Prof. Dr. ABM Nazmul Islam Khan, Director of Institute of Forestry and Environmental Sciences Dr. Md. Aktar Hossain, CU Pali Department President Sharanananda Barua Rupan and Professor of Pali Department Dr. Gyan Ratna Sramana were present.
The students participating in the exchange program are Kamrun Nahar, Ishrat Jahan Emu, Taskin Habiba, Fahim Tasnim, Aishee Karmkar, Israt Jahan Sanam, Sharmin Akhter Jaya, Urmila Chakma, Nishi Chakma and Jannatul Ferdous.
Its mentioned that Chittagong University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shireen Akhtar will travel to Japan on September 25 to participate in the exchange program as an invited guest.
