Jamuna Fertilizer Factory stops production

Published : 30 May 2021 09:26 PM

The Jamuna Fertilizer Factory has stopped regular production due to mechanical faults in the urea plant.  Production at the urea plant stopped at 9pm on Saturday due to a mechanical fault.

It is learned that it will be difficult to achieve the annual production target if the factory is not able to go into production quickly by repairing the defects. Ashwini Kumar, GM operation of the Jamuna Fertilizer Factory, said on his mobile phone that the factory's regular production was temporarily halted at around 9pm due to a mechanical fault at the urea plant.

In response to a question, he expressed hope that the factory would continue its regular production by repairing the faults in a timely manner. He did not respond when asked to speak to the factory's managing director (MD) Sudip Majumder on his mobile phone.
