A workers' assembly of Jamaat-e-Islami was held in Paharpur of Dinajpur Sadar on Tuesday.
The event was graced by the presence of the central organisational secretary of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and assistant director of the Rangpur-Dinajpur region, Maulana Md. Momtaz Uddin, who attended as the chief guest.
Special guests included Dinajpur District Jamaat Amir Principal Anisur Rahman, Jamaat-nominated parliamentary candidate for Dinajpur Sadar-3 Advocate Mainul Alam, and Dinajpur City Jamaat Amir Sirajus Salehin.
The assembly was presided over by Md. Mehrab Ali, Amir of Dinajpur Sadar Upazila Jamaat, and conducted by Upazila Secretary Nurullah Sarkar. Additional speeches were delivered by Thana Working Council member Khurshid Alam and Amir of Union No. 6, Habibullah Belali.
Presidents and secretaries from all 10 unions of the Sadar Upazila were also present and addressed the gathering.
In his keynote speech, Chief Guest Maulana Md. Momtaz Uddin provided significant guidance and directives to the party workers, emphasising their role and responsibilities in the current political context.
