Jagorani Chakra Foundation gets Dadasaheb Phalke Award

Jagoroni Chakra Foundation and its Executive Director Azadul Kabir Arzu received the Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation Award 2019 for their contribution in social welfare. The award distribution ceremony was held on Saturday night.

Prominent actor Gajendra Chouhan handed over the prize to Azadul Kabir Arzu at New Mahada Ground of Swami Samarnath Nagar in Munbai. The prize was given marking the 150th birthday of Dadasaheb Phalke.

Mentioned, some local youths established the Jagoroni Chakra Foundation in 1975 with a view to change the society in a positive way.

Arzu’s Contribution to the society beyond description. His innovative works earned fame internationally. He works for Harijon, the most under privileged people in Jashore. He made shelter for the children of sex worker. He provides free treatment for slum dwellers. He managed scholarship for the poor students through ‘Professor Sharif Hossein Fund’.

The foundation earned the fame beyond the country and it has abled to earn the international concentration and the prize bears the testimony of that.
