A special farewell ceremony was held at Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia for the retired professors from the theology faculty. The event took place at Bir Shreshtha Hamidur Rahman central auditorium on Wednesday morning.
Dr. Shaikh Abdus Salam, the Vice-chancellor of the university, graced the occasion as the chief guest. The ceremony was chaired by Professor Dr. ABM Siddiqur Rahman Asrafi, the dean of the Theology and Islamic Studies faculty.
Various distinguished guests attended the event, including Pro-vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mahbubur Rahman, Treasurer Professor Dr. Alamgir Hossain Bhuiyan, and professors Dr. Nasir Uddin Mizy, Dr. Mohammad Wali Ullah, and Dr. ANM Iqbal Hossain.
A total of 14 teachers were recognized during the ceremony, with nine receiving post-retirement honors and five being honored posthumously.
