IU students form human chain seeking security

Over 400 students of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Saturday formed a human chain seeking security for the students of the university.

 They formed the chain protesting raid by Rapid Action Battalions of Jhenadah unit at the resident of Bipul Hossain Khain, a masters’ student of Islamic History and culture department on early Friday. 

The chain was held in front of administrative building on the campus under the banner of ‘General Students’ around 12:00pm.

Jubayer Al-Mahmud, a master’s student of Arabic Language and Literature department conducted the chain and Alomgir Hossain Alo, also a master’s student of Bangla department led the chain.

Shishir Islam Babu of Computer Science and Engineering department, Toukir Mahfuz Masud, Tonmoy Shah Tony and Rizvi Ahmed Papon of English department, Faisal Siddik Arafat of Law department and Mizanur Rahman Lalon  of Economics department spoke out here.

While addressing the speakers demanded that if the university authorities would mentally harassed students farther with the assistance of police or RAB without any reason they will stop the campus and move for greater movement.

Mentioned, On Early Friday, a platoon of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) forced a raid at Bipul’s house near Sheikhpara Bazar under Soilokupa Thana that he put up bullets with him as a cadre of university antagonist party of Chhatra League unit.
