IU holds seminar on Islamic, humanitarian law

An international seminar on ‘Islamic Law and International Humanitarian Law’ was held at the IQAC conference Hall of Islamic University in Kushtia on Wednesday around 10:30 am.

IU Al-fiqh and Legal Studies department and International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) jointly organized the program.

Dr Mohammed Nasir Uddin, chairman of Al Fiqh and Legal studies department, presided over the program while IU Vice-chancellor Professor Dr Shaikh Abdus Salam was present as a chief guest. IU Pro Vice-chancellor Professor Dr M Mahbubur Rahman,  treasurer Professor Dr M Alamgir Hossain Bhuiya and IU Law faculty dean Professor Dr Sayeda  Siddika attended here as the special guest.

Mr Shariful Islam, affairs advisor of Bangladedsh ICRC presented here as a keynote speaker and Mansur Saleh, Legal advisor of ICRC also attend the program.

More than 20 teachers of various department of the university took part at the seminar.
