IU BCL men form procession over suspending secretary

A rebel group of Islamic University (IU) unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League, AL student’s wing formed procession demanding to suspend its unit secretary Rakibul Islam Rakib.

On Tuesday, more than 200 hundred activists of antagonist party of the university unit brought out a procession from party’s chapter chanting various slogans against the secretary, Rakib.

Faisal Siddiqi Arafat, Mizanur Rahman Lalon and Toukir Mahfuz Masud led the procession while Zubair Mahmud, Rizvi Ahmed Papon, Mahidul Vai, Shahjalal Shohag, Bipul Khan and Anik Hasan attended the procession.

They raised several complaints against Rakib from their procession as he made general secretary by giving 40 lakhs and also he also involved with recruitment scam for officials of the university.

After the procession, a delegation team met with vice-chancellor Prof Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari with the same demand and assured the authority that they want outsiders’ free campus.

Meanwhile, the rebel group chased Rakib for second time from the campus while he was came into the campus for setting masters’ examination on Monday afternoon.

Earlier, this part of BCL declared its unit president Robiul Islam Polash and secretary Rakibul Islam Rakib as unwanted for the campus.
