IU Arabic dept chairman resigns

Prof Moshtaq Mohammad Abdul Moktader Munwar Ali, chairman of Arabic Language and Literature department of Islamic University in Kushtia, resigned from his post on Tuesday.

IU acting registrar SM Abdul Latif said that the department chairman submitted a resignation letter to him showing personal difficulties. Moshtaq Munwar Ali said, “The main reason behind my resignation was nothing but some of my family problems.” He might have been threatened by a vested quarter over the issue, many conscious teachers and students demanded.
