Italian Ambassador Enrico Nunziata called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman at the latter’s office of the university on Wednesday.
Director of DU Institute of Modern Languages (IML) Prof. Dr. A. B. M. Razaul Karim Faquire and Director of DU Public Relations Mahmood Alam were present on this occasion.
They discussed matters of mutual interest during the meeting and exchanged views regarding ongoing Italian Language Programs at DU Institute of Modern Languages. They enphasized the need for undertaking collaborative academic and research programs among Dhaka University and the leading universities of Italy. They insistenton expansion of Italian Language programs at DU IML. They also held fruitful discussion about hiring Italian Native Language Teacher for teaching Italian Language courses at DU IML. In this regard an agreement will be signed soon.
Italian Ambassador Enrico Nunziata presented a Crest to DU VC Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman marking the 50-year of diplomatic relationship between Bangladesh and Italy.
DU VC Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman thanked the Italian Ambassador for his visit and expressed keen interest in strengthening cooperation and collaboration with Dhaka University.
