The authorities of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia have unveiled their publication ‘Islamic University Barta’, a special edition for the occasion of three years of its administrative body, on Saturday. IU vice chancellor Prof Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari unveiled the new edition as chief guest in a publication ceremony with Prof Dr M Saidur Rahman, convener of IU Bulletin Publication committee in the chair.
The publication ceremony was held at the conference room of the university administrative building in the morning. IU pro-vice chancellor Prof Dr M Shahinoor Rahman, Treasurer Prof Dr M Selim Toha attended here as special guest while IU registrar in charge SM Abdul Latif was present as welcome speaker.
Prof Dr Sarwar Morshed, dean of Arts faculty, Prof Dr Nasim Banu, dean of Social Science faculty, Prof Dro Reba Mandal, dean of Law faculty, Prof Dr Motaleb Hossain, provost of Lalon Shah hall, Prof Dr Zulfiquer Hossain, chairman of Public Administration department joined the unveiling programme, among others.
M Nowab Ali, deputy register of vice office conducted the inaugurating event while over 200 hundred teachers, officers and staff of the university attended here. The bulleting has been published with merits of three years of the administrative body of the university while includes 222 pictures and 224 published news of the campus. IU will publish a bulleting in every three months both Bangla and English medium.
While addressing, VC Dr Askari said, we have to metamorphose the demography into human power under the higher education act of the Government. It’s our duty to innovation amid transparency and accountability, he added.
