Islamic Foundation burying corona victims

Islamic Foundation (IF) in Jhenidah has been playing role to bury the patients. They have been furnishing the burial activities with religious and social norms. It has removed the tension of the dead persons.

According to IF sources in Jhenidah, they have formed six separate burial committees in each upazila where ten members including three female were deployed. The Imams belong to local mosques.

Two guardians of corona suspected paati0ents in Jhenidah Sadar and Shailkupa upazila when contacted said they were very glad when the IF authorities has taken initiatives including Tayammum (dry-bathing), janja and burial maintaining Islamic norms. Only the near and dear ones f the suspected patients remain present during th time.

Deputy Director of Islamic Foundation in Jhenidah Abdul Hamid Khan when contacted said the family members of the affected or suspected persons feel social superstitions and some barriers during burial activities. 

The government of authority under the ministry of religious affairs had directed IF authorities to stand by the bereaved families and take the responsibility of burial and other related activities with religious honor. 

Local administrations, health department, people including the guardians of the patients have been extending their cooperation to furnish the activities. They have buried two patients in Jhenidah Sadar and Shailkupa each and one in Kaliganj and Kotchandpur upazila each. The teams have been led by field supervisor Abdur Razzak.

The overall burial activities has been closely monitored by deputy Commissioner (DC) Saroj Kumar Nath, Deputy Director Abdul Hamid Khan added.
