A two-day programme was recently held in Chikdair Union, Raozan, marking the occasion of Jashn-e-Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) and the lunar anniversary (Chandra Barsiki Fateha) of Shahenshah-e-Auliya Hazrat Syed Ziaul Haq Maizbhandari (RA). The events were jointly organised by the Maizbhandari Gausia Haq Committee Bangladesh (Chikdair Union Branch-2), the Karam Ali Haji Bari, and local residents.
The programme featured a variety of religious and community events, including Khatm-e-Quran, Khatm-e-Bukhari Sharif, blood group testing, Islamic cultural competitions such as Hamd, Naat, and Maizbhandari Kalam recitation, concluding with a special Maizbhandari conference in the evening.
The conference, held at the Gausul Azam Maizbhandari Eidgah grounds, was presided over by Raozan Upazila Coordinator Akkas Uddin Manik. The event was inaugurated by Maulana Nurul Huda Maizbhandari, custodian of the shrine of Baba Bhandari. The chief guest was Allama Idris Ansari, Muhaddith of Ahsanul Ulum Gausia Sunni Madrasa in Kulgaon, Bayezid.
The discussion session was jointly hosted by Mohammad Minhaj and Korban Ali Minku, with speeches delivered by Shahzada Allama Mufti Baki Billah Al-Azhari of Ghilatala Darbar Sharif, Burichong, Cumilla, and Maulana Mujibul Haq Maizbhandari, Arabic lecturer at Madrasa-e-Gausul Azam Maizbhandari.
Special guests included Maulana Faridul Alam, Maulana Tarikul Islam, Mohammad Sakiduzzaman Shafi (Upazila Coordinator), Anisul Khan Babar, Nurul Haque, Elias Master, Tawfiqul Islam Masum, and others. Also present were Saleh Zangir, Jahangir Alam, Moinuddin Manik, Alomgir Hossain Khalek, Rubel, Mohammad Rahat, Akib, Zobaid Islam Ripon, Moharram Ali, Rifat, Fahim, Azad, Munna, Arfan, Ramzan, and Mofassel.
Zikir and Sama were performed by Minhaj, Shahed, and Maruf.
The event concluded with Milad and Qiyam, followed by a Munajat (prayer) seeking the welfare of the nation. Finally, prizes were distributed among the winners of the Islamic cultural competitions by the honoured guests.
