Ishwardi’s Tipu Sultan road dilapidated

Commuters in Pabna’s Ishwardi upazila suffer as a key road there dilapidated for 6 years but the concerned authorities yet to pay any heed to repair the ditch-ridden road.

The tipu sultan road, connecting Ishwardi railgate to west Pakshi railway divisional office and Ishwardi EPZ, is now in poor condition despite locals demanded several times to repair the vital road.

Hundreds of workers at rooppur nuclear power plant and Pakshi railway divisional office suffer as they have to use the road in daily basis to reach their workstation.

Commuters said that their sufferings increases manifold as there are no alternative roads. Many vehicles often fall in accidents for huge ditch at the road. 

Locals blamed overloaded truck and goods laden carriers for the poor state of the road. 

Ishwardi Municality Mayor Ishaq Ali Malitha said that the authority take initiatives to repair the road. The primarily issues budget and will call tender in the early months of next year.
