The final match of ‘Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Gold Cup Football Tournament (Under 17)’ was took place in Ishwardi on Thursday. The match was held between Ishwardi Municipality and Sara Union Parishad. Ishwardi Municipality won the match by 2-0 margin.
Two semifinal mathecs took place on the same day in morning.
Ishwardi Upazila Sports Fedaration arranged the tounament financed by Youth and Sports Ministry. A total of 8 team took perticipation in the tounament on this three-day event. The teams were Pakshi, Sara, Salimpur, Sahapur, Lakshmikunda, Muladuli Union Parishad and Ishwardi Municipality.
Ishwardi Mayor Ishak Ali and UNO Imrul Kayes handed over the trophies among winner and runner up team. Upazila vice chairman Abdus Salam Khan, Sara UP chairman Emdadul Haque Rana, Salimpur UP chairman Abdul Majid Bablu, freedomm fighter Abdul Khalek, Counsilor Firoza Begum, Monirul Islam Sabu, Kamal Hossain, Abi Dayeed Ujja and others were present at the programme.
‘Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Gold Cup Football Tournament (Under 17)’ was inaugurated in Ishwardi on Tuesday. Pabna-4 MP Nuruzzaman Biswas inaugurated the programme at that day.
