Ishwardi Municipality gets PM’s National Award

Ishwardi Municipality of Pabna received the Prime Minister's National Award for its special contribution in tree plantation. This award is given as the second award under category 'C' category. Crests, certificates and cash checks were handed over to the head of the institution at a function organized on the occasion of the National Tree Plantation Campaign and Tree Fair.

National Tree Fair-2022 was held on Sunday noon at Heimanti Auditorium of Ban Bhavan, Agargaon, Dhaka under the slogan 'Nature-Environment in the spirit of trees, sustainable Bangladesh for the next generation'. 

In the discussion meeting organized on this occasion, the Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Ministry. Shahab Uddin MP was the chief guest and special guest of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Deputy Minister Begum Habibun Nahar MP and Secretary of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Dr. Farhina Ahmed. 

The Chief Forest Conservation Officer of the Forest Department presided over the event. Amir Hossain Chowdhury.

At the end of the discussion, the chief and special guests handed over the prizes to the heads of the institutes and institutes that got the awards. Ishwardi as an 'A' category municipality received this first award for its contribution in tree 

plantation. 

Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change was the chief guest of the program organized last Sunday afternoon. Ishaq Ali Malitha, Mayor of Ishwardi Municipality, received the crest, certificate and cash check as an award from Shahab Uddin MP.

Mayor Ishaq Ali Malitha told Bangladesh Post on receiving the award, I am very happy and proud. The municipal administration will work more sincerely in the forestry of Ishwardi municipal area and in the service of the citizens. 

I will try to develop Ishwardi as a clean city.
