Ishwardi BCL celebrates its 74th founding anniversary

Leaders and activists of Ishwardi unit Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) have celebrated the founding anniversary of the organisation on Tuesday amid huge enthusiasm and several programmes.

They started celebrating the day with hoisting national and party flags in the morning. Then the leaders and activists of the student wing of Awami League placed wreaths at the potrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. They also brought out colourful rally and paraded different roads of the upazila. They also cut a cake and offered special prayer to mark the day.

The flag hoisting programme was held at 7:00am in front of local Awami League office in Station Road area. The colourful rally was brought out from the town’s Post Office intersection at 11:00am. Then they cut a huge cake at the party office of the town. They also organised a dua mahfil programme after Zuhr prayer at the noon.

Leader of Upazila central Awami League Sakibur Rahman Kanak, Jubo League president of Ishwardi Shirhan Sharif Tomal, Municipal Jubo League president Alauddin Biplob, general secretary Sumon Das, Municipal Chhatra League president Abul Kalam Azad, general secretary Nurul Islam and other leaders and activists of Ishwardi BCL were present at the programme.
