International School Dhaka (ISD) has announced the expansion of its prestigious scholarship program, now open to students from Grade 6 onwards. Earlier, this opportunity was limited to students of the Diploma Programme (DP) in Grades 11 and 12. From the academic year beginning in August 2025, students from Grade 6 to Grade 11 can now apply.
This move highlights ISD’s strong commitment to making world-class education more accessible for talented and deserving students in Bangladesh. The school believes that providing scholarships at an earlier stage will help students experience the full International Baccalaureate (IB) journey and build a stronger foundation for future academic and personal success. The scholarship program is open to new students aged 11 to 16 who demonstrate strong academic potential, leadership qualities, and active participation in co-curricular activities. While perfect grades are not mandatory, applicants must show a clear commitment to learning, personal development, and making a positive impact. Selected students will receive a full waiver on admission fees and a scholarship covering 50 to 90 percent of school tuition fees, depending on their academic performance and overall profile. In special cases, a full 100 percent waiver may also be awarded.
Steve Calland-Scoble, Director of International School Dhaka, said, “Access to high-quality education should not be limited to a few. We are proud to expand our scholarship program to students as young as Grade 6. This allows us to nurture young talents and support their growth from an early stage. Through this initiative, we aim to invest in the future leaders of Bangladesh and the world.”
