HT Imam, Political Adviser of the Prime Minister has said the image of the party is being defamed due to intruders in Awami League that is why the intruders from the party should be swept out.
HT Imam was speaking as the chief guest at a workshop entitled, ' Tarunner Bhabnay Awami League'( Awami League as thought by the youngsters) at Shilpakala Academy in Rajshahi Tuesday noon.
HT Imam who is also the Chairman of Publicity and Publications Sub-committee of AL further said, once Awami League was reorganised for the interest of the country and the party. Taking this opportunity, many outsiders from various parties intruded to the AL but there was no room for those intruders in AL. To retain the goodwill of the party, those intruders should be swept out.
He mentioned, AL is always indulged in clean politics. AL has never attacked anyone rather has been attacked by others. AL is always working to realise the conscience of the struggle for freedom. This effort should continue in future so the on going campaign against drugs, irregularities and corruption will also continue.
The workshop was addressed, among others, by Information Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud, Information and Communication Minister Junaid Ahmed Palak, Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation AHM Khairuzzaman Liton, Member of Executive Committee of AL Merin Jahan Panna and Deputy Publicity and Publications Secretary Aminul Islam Amin.
Central Publicity and Publications sub-committee of AL organised the workshop in commemoration of 70th founding anniversary of AL. The workshop was conducted by Member of Publicity and Publications sub-committee Barrister Shah Ali Forhad. Students from various educational institutions of Rajshahi attended the function.
